I have been working on the nozkt mod on Rca430. I have cut the trace from pin 2 of the st. I have taken the M28W320CB high using 3.3 volts and also with 5 volts. I am trying to get the M28W320CB into the flash mode. I have done the mod with the intel chip with no problem. This one is really not cooperating wih me. I have 2 receivers and they are both doing the same thing. Could some one please help me?

I believe I just read this same post at ID, if so go back there and read the M28W thread, you have to unlock all sectors individually, all 71 of them. The M28W requires this, it's not that hard to do.
Also you must use jkeys 2.9.10........

There is a lot more at ID. The gist of this is correct, but soldering to the flash chip is NOT nescessary, neither is the 5V. Pin 2 trace can be cut and 3.3v applied to that trace and everyting works fine.
I don't think we want to copy the whole thread frond ID here, so best go there and read.

I just read that too. Here you go to save you some time.

origanally written by Thorvald:
I just did an RCA430RGA with an ST 28W320CB, was quite a pain in the ass... thanks to some ideas from a friend, it wasn't that hard in the end.

1. Connect the Jtag as normal. Ensure BFR is grounded (Pin 115 of the ST Micro). Ensure the FP pin is pulled to +5v as well (you have to trace this from the ST Micro Pin 2).
2. Find the +5v pad near the card slot (top left when looking at the IRD from the front, was a 3 pin jumper location).
3. Connect Pin 13 (VPP) from the ST Flash chip to +5v. This will allow unlocking and erasing. It will not work with +3.3v, must be 5v.
4. Erase the sectors by using Dev Panel in jkeys:
