If you have a Legacy dual LNB (2 LNB heads with 2 coax fittings and no "DP "on the back) no switch or anything else needed for your 2700. Run your cable to either port, it is set up for 2 receivers. Their is no such thing as a dish pro adapter, however this LNB your describing will work with all current dish systems.
Hope this helps you.

i tried what you said,it came with a dish pro and then i bought the legacy twin lnb and that did not work.then i was told to buy the adapter.thats were i am now, stuck with all this crap that i probally will not even use.i got a 2700 ird.thanks

Dish Pro Adapter - Take those legacy receivers (the ones that are four digit numbers) and use them with "Dish Pro" LNB's! Including the SuperDish!

ok, first, what's with the bigass colored letters?
second, just plug in your coax to the legacy twin straight to the 2700 and run a switch check. if the lnb and receiver are ok, it should all be there, no dp adaptor needed.

There is such a thing as a DP adapter, but it's only used when you have DP LNBs and Legacy IRDs.

Since both of yours are Legacy you will only have to do what Toober said and it will work, assuming you have a line of sight and your aimed correctly.

exactly, thats what i started with but they told me the dp would not work with the old 2700 ird so i went out and got a legacy lnb.couldn't get that too work so i am putting back the dp to use with my adapter.

P.S........ whats the problem with big ass colored letters is that some kind of insult to like all caps are.

Your answer is in the above threads. Just use your Legacy LNB ,trash the adapter. Dish Pro LNB will not work with 2700-period.

PS ..As far as the big ass colored letters ....it is a pain in the ass to read and will wear out a scroll wheel in nothing flat. If you want help, be respectfull to others tring to assist you.
