trouble with sw-21

I have a 301.13 hooked to a dish 500 . (the 2 seperate lnb one). it has 4 cables coming from the lnbs, I hooked 1 cable from each side to a sw-21..then the output to my ird.
I got a signal on the 119 of 124/125.I did a check switch and it detects the switch.
but it only picks up the 119.

i changed the sw-21 out and still same problem.
I tried the other 2 cable outs and still same problem.
am I hooking up wrong?
there are 2 outlets from each lnb, I assume I use 1 from each, and those 2 into the inputs of the sw-21..then the output to my ird? right?

Run each cable seperately to your ird to see if its the switch, the lnb or your aiming job. You can get a splicer or I think its a coupler - male to male to hook the line from the lnb directly to the one going to the ird - do it for both lines to see if you can get 110 and 119 independent of the switch.

A little quicker test: cover the lnb labeled 119 so that the white round part can't see the surface of the dish. Check switch. If results are the same as when uncovered, then you have the 110 lnb aimed at 119. If not, swap cables from one side of switch to other. Check switch. If you lose 119 at this point, then it's the switch. If 119 moves to the 2 slot instead of 1 and 110 is still gone, you have a bad lnb.

Seems like I see a lot of bad sw21 switches also, some of the after market sw21's don't seem to be as well made as others.

Could it also be that the 301-013 is a Dish Pro ird and will only work with a Dish Pro LNB? I dont believe that the 301 will work with the SW-21 switch.
