hi, my name is Marlaine. sorry if I write more than need it but i want to make myself clear.
i bought some files (the last one was call JEEP4_dis.zip)from a site in order to view dishnetwork in canada, but these guys after a couple of times has not send me any files again, they said that there is no new files.
i got from them a jtag (i think is that, it looks like this http://satmen.unas.cz/hardware/img/jtag.jpg) is like an electronic circuit that replace my dish card and to load the files i plug it in my printer port) .
My question is; can I get the files that I need in this site if i suscribe or the files that i can get here are not good with my jtag?.
I found in this site a place (http://www.bellexpress.vu/)where it said "DishNetwork Current Keys", how can I use them please? or these are not good for me?
thank you for your help and time

I don't understand why you would buy files when they are all free on many sites. I think you should mentiom what ird {receiver }you are testing with and what kind of card. a j-tag is not used for programming but for getting information about your ird.

Hi, well as you see I'm clueless about all this, that is why i want to buy the files.
I search many places for those files but to be honest I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
I tried to read about it but there are too many things that at the end it gets confusing.
ok, here is a picture of what I'm using;
http://img58.exs.cx/img58/5961/dish.jpg
(i hope the picture is clear enough, if not I can make more).
as you can see, one part is like a black card with one square in one corner and a connector where i plug a smaller circuit and in that little one i plug a printer cable.
my dishnetwork is a model 301 and in the other corner i can read MPEG2.
thank you for your help and time

What model is your reveiver? 301.010 or 301.013? I can not tell from your picture what you are testing with.I would suggest that you do some basic reading on ways to test for charlie(dishnet). There are alot of information on all the sites, because with out knowing what you have no one can help you.Basically you have to have an ird and some sort of card to put in it to test, it could be plastic(rom 2,3,10,etc.,atmega,avr,magic card.Read some basic forum or how to forums and then you will find lots of people to help you.

You can get free files by going to this link http://www.dssftp.com/filedownload/index.php .
Sometime you have to wait for download # to go below 200 before you can download files.
Read a newbie guide here http://www.dssftp.com/forum/upload/getstarted.html
Another website is www.bellexpress.vu like you said read the how to instructions there.
