sounds like a 430..........very common problem with them.

The CX demod chip controls a lnbp15sp lnb power supply chip, the power supply chip fails and so does the CX demod chip. In this case could be either one or both.

Remove sat in cable and check, with a volt meter, the voltage between the sat in connector and ground, should altermate 13 to 18 volts every 1 1/2 seconds or so. If the voltage is okay, then its a different problem, if its not ok then the problems outlined above apply.

I quit repairing the 430/431/450's because of the complexity of the repairs and difficulty and expense of changing the tiny components.
