If these are public dumps you are flashing to your receiver
open them up with Flashedit 2.0 open up the advanced section and see if the CRC is in red. If it is click on the fix CRC box save them then reflash.
Another possiability is you may have corrupt flash files. For that case download another one and try it.

The Build config number is on a sticker inside the case, the flash must match this, as for the bootstrap I thingk it just corresponds.
But if the build config is wrong it will not work.

I have 3100-010; build config EAED; Boot Strap 12AB. When I download a TSOP image from internet; the build config, and boot strap has to be the same (EAED, 12AB) or it could be different?
Thanks.
The only thing that has to be is the build config. But it can be one letter off and still be the same build.
Using your 3100 example EAED and EAEA are actually the same build in spite of the different last letter (D and A) being different.
Boot strap should be the same. In most cases it will be on every build. The only time you see differences on the boot strap is in cases of upgraded models. eg a 2700 upgraded to a 2800 compared to a from the factory 2800 may have different boot straps but the same build.

Can also take the tsop image into flashedit2 and create a virgin eeprom image in that.
