can I put receiver# & box keys from 301 to 501?

I have subbed 301.013 with married yellow card. and virgin 501. can I read 501 image replace receiver id and box keys and program it back to flash of 501. will it work ? will i be able to use my subbed 301 yellow card or my magicCard?

Sure will.....the card won't know the difference.
The 501 is a little tougher than that tho. you will have to remarry the harddrive, which requires that it be zero'ed out and then the receiver flashed with virgin firmware to marry the harddrive.

what if my 501 is still virgin? It's still in the box and has never been powered or exposed to stream. what should i do ? do i need to disconnect the HD befeore i turn it on and do a ird#/box keys replacement ?, or it's going to be ok, and HD will remarry to a new FW once exposed to stream
