This may sound dumb or so but I know with my RCA IRD's you can use other remotes from various IRD's that all work, have you tried using one of your other remotes on that problematic IRD to see and rule out that remote is still operational ?, GTG.

Try pushing the AUX button instead of the DIRECTV button, that might have been in advertently changed. If that works you can go into setup and change it back to the DTV button.

I had the same problem on both 430 and 431.
Where did you get get the latest flash image?
(I used the image from "blacknite", I think it is outdated)
I had no problem with the 420.
