Hello everyone,
I am new to FTA. I have been doing reading for weeks not only on this site but others also. I cannot find much information on whether the Stab H-H100 motorized mount is worth the time and money. It is DiSEqC 1.3 dependent so the receiver must be compatible in order to use the automatic repositioning feature. I have a new Pansat 2500A which its owner's manual says is USALS DiSEqC 1.3 compatibile.

I have a 40" X 30" Primestar dish retrieved from the local dump. I also have a bunch of single and dual DTV LNB's removed from 18" DTV dishes found there also. I plan to mount the dish on a corner of my house which faces SSW (The adjoining wall faces ESE) Both have an unobstructed view almost to the horizon. I can also use the opposite corner which faces SSW and WNW, same unobstructed views.

I read a lot, and can figure out what satellites I can "see", but have no idea about their transmitting signal strengh therefore don't know if all are realistically useable.

So now to the questions.
1. Is the Stab H-H100 worth buying?
2. Is anyone successfully using this motor with a Pansat 2500A?
3. What would be the ideal LNB setup to use on the Primestar dish?
4. Which corner of the house should I mount the dish on?
5.I live at 38.19N, 75.9W. What satellites can realistically be received With this
dish/motor/LNB setup?

I know this is a lot to ask, but I also know there is no substitute for experience and I have none. I DO know that time spent setting something up right the first time can save many dollars and endless hours of frustration.

Thanks for reading, please help if you can.

If you motorize the antenna and your mount is perfectly plumb, you should be able to receive all FTA sats from say 61.5W to 158W. You will need one circular (Dave) Lnb and one linear lnbf to receive all available signals. I use Primestars myself, tho I don't use a motor...have a BUD for that. I have had success receiving AMC-4, 82, 91,
110 & 119 using multiple lnbs with a stationary Primestar. Had to boresight the dish to AMC-4 which is Ku and requires the linear feed. DBS signals are much stronger and can be had with offset lnb's. Do a G@@gle search on Primestar Mods or Multifeed Antennas and see lots of example pics. If it were me, I'd install the antenna for the shortest possible cable run to my entertainment center. Good luck.

Cactus Jack,
Thanks for the reply...the info is greatly appreciated. The linear lnbf you mentioned, do you have any suggestions as to a manufacturer, or one to stay away from? I have no experience with these.
I did the Google search for Primestar mods but didn't find anything other than ham radio mods, I'll keep looking.

Thanks again,
