digital lock on 3500?

o.k here is the deal
3500 not hit
want to put lock on
have boxkeys off of unlocked card
wondering if i can put lock on do a jy fix
on it
let it take update
lock and use
have no reader/writer for itwant to buy one
already have jtag
can anyone give me advise on this

Do NOT Do A JYF On The GreyBox Receiver, It Will No Longer Work With Dish. If It Has Not Been ECM'd Or The Software Version Does Not End With A -F, It Will Update.
