I'm am looking to do a hard drive upgrade on the 71/7200 Dishplayers I have read people are running fine with 120 gb drives but just want some feedback as to what is the Best type ( whats better a 5400rpm or 7200rpm for these) and Gigabyte to go with ( also is there anyway to make Firewire/USB 2.0 external hardrives work with these) also what brand I have read that Maxtor, WD, and seagate are all running fine ( different ones ) And any thing else you can recomend or something specific when upgradeing these . I am leaning towards either 80 or 120Gb , whatever is most recomended and price . thanxxxx

HD should always be judged by the access time and not their RPM. Most of them have around 9ms. Higher RPM means higher temp, and higher wear&tear.
Anything less than 137G is fine for 7*00. You could not have firewire for the receiver, I was also looking for that. Even in the receiver which have them D/N do not support due to copyright issue. The best ypu can do is to cut the opening in receiver, and put the HD rack. or else use the longer IDE cable form outside.
