Will stream update my software?

Just got my dish (301-010) pointed and ran the switch test. All ok. I took a look at "System Info" and the software version is P214EAFD-N. Should I leave the receiver on to see if the software version updates?

The next thing i was going to do is the phone mod then install the digi lock. Am I going in the right direction? All help is much appreciated.

hi you have to take the update
1 put virgin card in unit
2 turn to 101
3 turn unit off with remote
4 leave unit off until green light turns off
6 trun unit back on with remote and put your card in and watch tv

I think it will update without a card in the receiver at all
