I need some help setting up my dish and getting both satellites

I need some help setting up my dish and getting both satellites to work.I have a 2700 with legacy twin lnb's.
After I get 119 in do I do a switch check,this is where I am having lot's of problems.I locked in 119 first did a switch and it said only one satellite.
When I go to bring in 110 it throws 119 off and I am back where I started.In what order am I supposed to do this switch testing.

P.S.........There are two lines coming out of the LNB,I only am using one TV for now so I should only need one wire is that right.

You said, “twin LNBs” (plural).

If you have a twin then you only need the one line running to your IRD form either port. If you have two duals, you need a line from each running to a 21 switch, then out of the switch to your IRD.

Here’s the secret to installing any dish: make sure that your mast is level both ways.

Then make sure you have the skew and elevation correct for your area. You can find this info out by pressing Menu/6/1/1/peak angles and putting your zip code in.

Then peak the 119; the 110 will be right on as well. If it’s not after you have done the above steps, (assuming you don’t have a line of sight issue) you may have a bad LNB or switch (whichever you have)

yes they are twin legacy's,i am not sure when to do the switch check.i locked 119 in and then moved it over to get 110 but then i lost 119,i need to no when to do the switch check.from what you are saying after i lock in 119 i should be able to get the other satellite.it is not the lnb because i also tried dishpro with a dishpro adapter.unless it's the ird.thanks

Read the part again about sw21 switch.
When you have 119, 110 should not need any moving to get as long as you have skew and elevation correct.

i got 119,but not 110. i played around too long with this.it's time for a pro to come out.i ordered dish and dropped dtv.and i'm washing my hands with this.i should of done this last month.
