how do you reset U7 at pin 12?
Pin 12 is where we put 12v to vid mod with, it is temporary unprotect when raised to 12v.
The data sheet is a bit confusing, it has 2 pins that will unprotect, pin 12 and pin 14, I don't know why pin 12 was chosen for the vid mod, but it does work.

Which guide did you follow, if you followed the one with one trace cut below and none on top, then you have a problem.

here is a strange fix that i found by accident. If i erase my u7 the first time it takes a while. then when i erase it the 2nd time it goes really fast. Once that happens im screwed. If i close down jkeys and reload it i immdeiatly get the dcu peek error.
What i have found is that if i turn on the unit and load up wall. the fan will stop spinning and give me some error. Close wall and keep unit powered up and load jkeys. It will no londer recoginize the proper unit but that is ok. i select the proper unit from the pulldown, go into flash programming and i can erase u7 and u6 perfectly.
i also found if i follow that procedure from the get go that i can erase both u6 and u7 with out any problems.
hope this helps you
