I have a Dishnet system that has not been active for 3 years. The receiver is a 2700 and the card is S 00 0377 3188 99 and another number on the card is 123474487-AA. It is Swiss Made and says copyright 1996 Echostar. Is there anything I can do with this system or is it trash. What equipment do I need, to get free TV? I have already bought a MK111 for my DTV system that is now trash also. Should I just subscribe? Somebody.......please tell to what to do????????

Stick the card in an ISO loader, read it with Nagra edit, see that it says, that looks like a rom 2 or 3 card number, prolly a good one.

both rec and card probably good as skinerd says.
get a standard iso with 3.68mhz crystal for dish cards. get a jtag, you will need it for the receiver, if not now will in future as charlie can hit the card and receiver.
read all the newbie how to guide you can find. welcome to charlie and good luck.

Thanks for your response. What is a iso and jtag and how much is it and where can I buy it??? When I look at "newbie" I only see lots of people asking the same type of questions as I am asking. I don't see an "intro to this hobby" type thing. I also see that lots of things are not working and channels are not changing and lots of stuff like that. Is this something that I will need to tinker with daily to watch TV? Thanks for your words of wisdom.....
