D*sh 2800 with rom 10 A23

Hi everyone, I am a great fan of this site, I recently bought one D*sh 2800 receiver from ebay. it came with a card rom 10 A23. Problem is that I dont have a programmer so i couldnt able to see the status of this card whether is locked or not. my question is, is there any way to check the status of this card without programmer and how do i know is it a good card or not.
Any adv. and help would much appreciated.

well the receiver is a good one as for the card if it is stream locked then your sol for the moment intill the dealers find a way into the a23's till then find yourself another card and test away

Rev A23 is streamlocked and can`t be opened at this time. I suppose it is possible that someone put a blocker on it so it just says A23, but since you wouldnt have the password anyway that would not help you. In any event, it should be safe to put in receiver and see if there is any programming on it.

Is it also locked ?.

it might be locked but there is freeware to unlock that rev of rom 10 just check out the files section for dish unlocker on this site and youll be good to go also dont forget to put a blocker on your card before you put it in the stream

A21 is normally easy to unlock. If you have the receiver for the A21, do not put it in the stream because it will be steamlocked to A23. There a several unlockers for A21 in the downloads.

In any case you need to get an iso programmer so you can use these unlocking utilities.
