I'm new testing BEV, and i'm in south florida, looks like we get no signal down here for the transponders 3 ,7 , 9, 11 ,17 , 21, 23 and 25.
Anybody now if these transponders will be back in the air, or we need to get a big dish, or move the dish to another direction for the nimiq 3.
I'm also interisting in test the globecast, but i have no clue how to start testing globecast and if it worth the haslles.
What kind IRD need for globecast?
What kind dish need ?
Do they have nice channels?

Thank You.

Probably not going to get channels back, but only BEV knows. Something could happen to N3 and they would go back to N1 only. In AZ, I did test an 8' dish and did gain back 9,17,21,25. The other four TPs are still at 0 so you can "test" a big dish, but no guarantee. No need to move the dish - both N1 and N3(dtv) are at 91.

Globecast is a different ball game. You need an FTA (free to air) receiver, such as pansat, and at least a 30" dish. Most FTA dealers have packages, receiver and dish with lnb, for ~$250. Check web for FTA. Globecast is pretty much all foreign.
