Hi,
In my Point Dish/signal screen on my 3100 BEV box, the Bell ExpressVU 91 is locked with pretty good signal on transponder 13, however when I select Bell ExpressVu 82, The indicator shows red with good signal strength. It says “Wrong Sat – Bell ExpressVU 91.
Check switch only sees the 91 sat.
I get a bunch of channels, but no guide will download.
I am using a DishPro Quad LNB with only one coax attached to it right now.

Am I just pointed at the wrong bird?

I did it this way :

First I hooked up 91 directly to the LNBF and found a good signal on 91 ..
Then I unhooked the cable and put it on the 82 LNBF , found a good signal there just by changing the skew ...
Then I took it all apart and ran through the switch , did a switch check and you guessed it , no 82 ( XX ) but a 100% signal on 91 ...
I must have screwed around for a couple hours changing cables and doing a switch checks but I finally got both birds...
Make sure you use transponder 11 when doing the switch check ...
Only difference is I am using a 20" BEV dish with twin LNBF's & an SW21 ( with a 3100 IRD ) ..

Good Luck !
It takes time !

hmmm... Thanks for the reply four-by-four

I wish I had that option. My DishPro Quad has 2 LNBFs and 4 outputs to support 4 receivers. It has a built in switch so I can't hook directly to one particular LNBF. I think I will use the old aluminum foil trick over one of the LNBFs to shut it off while I aim the other one.
Lots of trips up and down from the roof. :(
