Hughes E-86 problem

Recent subscription, installed 3 lnb eliptical dish. E-86 will not complete initial installation process. It begins to acquire guide data, then freezes on acquiring sat signal. Missing channels on 101 bird incl. NFL Network. Swapped recievers for a non HD model (sony a-50) and it works fine. Tried DTV recomended reset (down arrow and power) but still freezes on acquireing sat signal???
Any ideas, different reset methods?
