How do I remove password from 2700?

I found these instructions for removing password from 2700 ird , but did not
work. 1. Go to the diagnostics screen
2. Press Info
3. Press right arrow button
4. press left arrow button
5. when you see "memory corrupted" screen, unplug receiver
for about 1 minute and plug back in.

This hasnt worked so far , never got the "memory corrupted" screen..

Does anyone know how to do this?

after you press the left arrow you must press view, if you do not have the view button press the info button again. I always use the info button. so after step 4 press view or info, whichever one you have, that should take you to step 5
