on the bev 91 bird i have a signal strength of 80% on most transponders. there are about 5 or 6 transponders that are in 62 to 67% range, is this good enough? on about half of the total channels i get video problems like when bad weather is moving in, trying to figure out if this is a signal strength problem or not, this never happened before bev started screwing with the transponders. when i do a signal strength diagnostic it says signal strength is o.k.

Where are you & what size dish do you have...??
I get a minimum 85% signal on a 24" dish...Usually around 95% & up...
I was in BC Canada & recently moved to Texas....Same results..

I am using my old dave 18" dish to try and pick up bev 91. I'm in missouri and the max signal strength I get is 60. I have tried and tried to get dish pointed better and no luck. Had the dish 110 bird on the same 18" dish at 112 signal strength so i dont think its a cable or connection problem. Any ideas?? Should I be using a larger dish for bev???

A Larger dish will definatly help..Also when are you doing your alignment?
Dureing the day is not a good time to be doing it sun spots can decrease your signal strength.Do it on a clear night.
While your up there disconnect the cable from the LNB & give it a lick..lol trust me if your receiver is working properly it will give yah a little zap like a 9 volt battery..If its kind of weak your IRD might be crapping out..
I just got a Dish 500 and I was wondering what transponder its needs to be set to pick up 119 for Dishnet?? I'm in London Ontario Canada..
