3000 won't update

i have a 3000 ird. won't update.(i think) it blacks out every 3 seconds. firmware is e413(bell) any idea's? i have left it off over night, and jyf it, won't change

Are you pointed at bev? read another post and see that you are.
Can't see why it will not update, unless you have a lock on it.

I checked my old 3000 and it is at E413 and works fine--rom 10

i'm pretty sure there is no lock on it, i've never seen a lock before, but i had it all apart and i didn't see anything different. would i notice a lock?

i also seem to have no volume, along with the black outs. it only happens on the menu screen when i check the signal strength screen
