new here please help with dual crystal loader

I have the same loader and like a dumbass I fryed the first one I bought. The loader will accept 9v, but the adapter has to be center positive. Some adapters are center positive and others are the exact opposite. If it's not set up properly ( adapter) then I think you might of killed your progammer. It appears that there is no diode for protection so if you hook the thing up wrong.. well your screwed. Hope that's not what happened to you though.
