Hi,
I have been following wanna be's v3 guide for the 6000. Had no problems until I tried to stream it. IRD powers up but nothing else. The internal fan doesn't even run. I read two other threads about this but nothing in there seemed to help.
here's what i've done:

0.5) removed the hd module for charlie
1) d/l two bev tsops (hi and lo)
2) changed to match my box key and ird #
3) made a virgin eeprom with one of those modified tsops
4) made sure the eeprom matched my CNAD from inside tag
5) wrote virgin eeprom
6) erased SA30.

I think when I first erased SA30 I was on flash 1 hi in the jtag's flash programming screen. So I reprogrammed the virgin eeprom and erased SA30 which the flash 2 lo selection in the jtag screen. I did this because I noticed flash 2 lo was selected in wanna be's guide. That wrote correctly but same effect with receiver. Seems dead or something in eeprom is corrupt.

Now jtag won't let me write to my eeprom, I get this error mesage:

Error programming EEPROM at offset 0x0

And when I go to the flash programming screen I get this:

The flash codes returned are not recognized by jkeys. mfg/device codes returned are ffff/fff (jedec) and ffff/ffff (flashfile).

On the initial jtag read screen I get this under build cfg : CNAA model id: yyy (with those dots above them) and for software i get yyyy (same dots). All the other ird info is correct.

I never actually streamed to 91 b/c I was expecting to at least get a menu on the ird so I could move my dish to point to 91 but don't get the slightest hint of video.

Any help would be appreciated tremendously.

Oh I forgot to mention I did back up my tsops before overwriting the eeprom.

It seems the reason it couldn't reprogram the eeprom with virgin bins was a problem with jkeys interrupting the reset. I noticed that the blue light wasn't on on the attempts that failed to reprogram the eeprom. I have tried reprogramming the eeprom with the one I virgin one i made from the tsops I d/l and I have made a new virgin from my saved tsops. Still cant get it to fully power up (where I hear the fan and can switch b/t hd/sd) All I can get is the blue light for hd to come on.

Ok my problem was simple. I didn't know that the 6000 when you clear sa30 would just have a blue light and do nothing else. I was expecting to be able to then use the menu to aim the dish. so i let it stream back to dish, then I moved the satellite, got it pointing at 91 redid the steps, and let it stream to 91. Worked fine. So heads up for people with a 6000, just a blue light is ok.

Do I have to remove the hd module for charlie when I convert my 6000 to Bev? I have heard that you do not have to. Is there a good guide some where on how to convert a 6000 to bev? I am not very good at testing yet converting to Bev is something new to me. Do not what to ruin my $600 dollar 6000. :) :) :)
