I have HD sound but no picture. Dish demo channel works great but he rest just audio. Can you help?

Make sure your tv is set to the right input, s-video or component video depeding on what you are outputting with the 6000

I know that the TV connnections are good and the inputs are good because I get the dish HD demo channel 9443 with all audio and video.

You can't get HD channels with a test card anymore on dish network, all are Nagra 2.

dish network aka charlie has moved all hdtv content on to the nagra 2 cards, the reason why you cant get video with any testing device or rom 2, rom 3, rom 10 or rom 11. you can only get charlie hdtv content with the subscribed rom 101 and rom 102 card (and no there is no hack currently for those nagra 2 cards).

Even though that is true, wouldn't the rest of the channles still come in. ONly the High def is on Nagra 2. All other stations still broadcasting in Nagara 1. Should still be able to see those I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

yes, the regular channels come in fine. the hd channels have audio no video.

i was just wondering. did dish move the HD video sorta like the old VC II Plus system did with the audio back when? If so, if anyone learned anything from that, can it possibly help us now with this nagra 2 system. Just a thiught. If we keep trying maybe we will suddenly stumble onto something we can use. you know the old saying, 'you can't see the forrest for the trees". I just hope people don't bash anyone for trying to come up with a solution. remember, thinking outside the box works sometimes. Just a proud vip member. thanks for listening.
