plenty of posts on converting to bev i think you just need to erase sa5 sector in the flash 3 times and restream to bev

Is it easier to Erase Sa5 and restream or just load the latest firmware from the files section? Is there any benifit to doing one over the other?

from what i understand if you just erase sa5 and restrea it is easiler that getting a new tsop editting in flashedit to put your ird boxkeys and numbers back with the sa5 erase it keeps all that info

thanx for the replies.. the only other question i would like to know is, I modified a Dish 3900 following the direction in the file section and seem to work perfectly, but from what I have read so far is it true that the 3900 will not take any updates from bev after converting to 2700.. and if it doesn't take updates is it still susceptible to ECM? Do i still need a digital lock?

Once it has been converted to a 2700 BEV, yes the updated will be available.
