Hello now that the 6000 IRD,s are unhackable with the HDTV channels. Is there any benefit to using two dishes with it like dish 300 and 500. I just bought one for $600 and I am wondering if it is worth puting up the dish 300 or sell it. Does the 300 dish get any other channels besides HDTV. I also heard that they are slow as far as changing channels and the guide is slow. I have 301,s 721,s and 7200,s that I am very happy with but if the 6000,s are a slow as my 4900,s and 2700,s are then I think I will sell them. I have not had good luck buying IRD,s latley. I just bought my first 6000 and then the HDTV goes out. Then I bought a 7200 for $500 two weeks before it got hit. Free TV is expensive. I hate that saying. Part of testing I guess. Any advice would be great. Thanks :) :)

If it were mine I would turn it to bev.Not as good as dish, but a good backup and HDTV.
PS. unless you are to far south.

Put it on Bev. On Bev you don't need the 8PSK either. Bev also has 3 times the HD channels. You would need the 300 for the 82 Sat.

seattle is fine for getting bev sats. south to far as in texas, mississippi or florida, although heard some pick up down that way too. all the bev hd is on bev 82 sat. read the wannbe how to guide for the 6000. if you can't do it pm me and i can give you guy to do it for you. search "convert dish to bev" also
