To get all bev has to offer yes you need the DN 500 dish with a dual feeds.
Do you actually want the extra channels on 82 sat? Not likely as most of the mainstream channels are carried on 91. Without 82 you will for the most part only be missing a few specialty channels that appeal to a limited few.
Unless you have a HDTV receiver. I believe many of the HDTV channels are carried on 82.

and what about on Dish, all I really want is PPV and HBO, oh and my wife wants networks.
I dont need the ethnic channels and soccer feeds.
Can someone who is testing dish confirm this.
thanks

With DN you need a 500 to get all the channels.
If you have a DN sub with just america's top 60. You would still need a 500 to get all the channels in that package.

Everything mentioned on the previous posts are all true ,but so as not to confuse you with the LNB's , you will need two dual LNB's to pick up both 110 & 119 Sats on Dish. One dual LNB will get you one Sat with two ird's. Or you can get a Twin LNB to do the same as two duals and the twin has a built in switch.
Here is a little explanatory link on LNB's.
