hOW TO GUIDE FOR PVR510 ???

Is there a guide for the pvr510's????

My searches reveal some cnflicting and some missing info.


There has to be a guide somewhere out there

Point me in the rigth direction, I hate living without my Tivo!

You are correct about the conflicting info, I just finished 2 510 conversions, and now that I understand it better, they are really simple, I did one a few weeks back and had forgot most everything and had to start from scratch, but now I know what works and what don't.

There is already plenty info available. Sorting it out is the tough part.
There is a very recent thread with a guide I posted for the vid mod, use it, the jtag part is pretty standard, except I traced every point to the top of the board, but using the 3 bottom and 2 top points works fine.

3 bottom points? the guide you recommended in my thread shows two wires on the bottom side, wires A & B with one trace cut, and on top two wires on top, one next to R331 and the 12V wire. and the trace cut between tsops. what other wire you talking about?

Jtagging.......newer 510 have no jtag port like a 508 or 501.
