I'm using a 501 receiver and magic card w/camless rom 10 and I have this problem that it changes channels by itself. What wrong? Thanks.

I would bet it's a bad IR receiver, I have see a few like that, and that was the problem. Especially if it changes rapidly at times.

It also sets to record by itself. So is that means that I need to get another one?

Don't know if you live in an appartment, but it could be that your neighbor also has a UHF remote. Just a thought...

Yes, I do. I was reading that in the manuals and it says that too. It says that I'd need to get 10 dB attenuator. I wasn't sure if that was the case. Now that you mention it, I feel so much better. I'll go to RadioShack and get it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your help.

Can you be more specific? I'm a newbie and I don't know much. Thanks.
