H-card used as rom 3 @383

I've been reading on another site about a program used to allow you to use an h card as a rom 3 @ 383. Anybody here know anything about it? It would be nice since I have a bunch of h cards. They were also talking about using a HU since it has more memory.

Someone told me about this the other day, I would be interested in the site where you read this. I'm sure the HU will be able to be used simply because I just got rid of the last four I had!

I'm pretty sure the program is called "biotch", and it will at least get music and info channels, but not much more.It's H card only though.

You would need a bootstrap at least, but I'm not sure how the ird would react to it. Bootloaders had H card boot sector info, not rom3 info. Not sure on several fronts.

If all you can get with it is tha MUSIC channels, then ya might as well just keep it in your DirecTV receiver to get those! They're pretty much tha SAME channels!

I have been reading about this..

most of us that really know the H card know that the eeprom is not large enought to load tier info along with loading the rom 3 cam..

I would say that HU has more space but I don't think your going to get a rom 3 cam to load on it..

Just a thought and maybe some of the other old guys in the hobby can jump in here..

If you get the keys IRD info loaded ( dos only program) you might try using a avr
to hold other info.. haven't tryied so it may not work.. I just know you need more space to have a chance to make this work..

I did alot with this over a year ago, Programs are "Whore" and " Biatch". It was cloning a rom 3 to a H card, Aside from timing issues from 3.57 to 3.68 which with 2 iso loaders I got around I found the old trick once worked, But as of about a year ago they ran a few minutes and looped. After months of trying to get it stable again I gave up on it. It is interesting however.
