Yellow card

first time poster, long time reader has a questions. I found a yellow card and did a reset ATR in Nagra. The response is

ROM Revision: 102
EEPROM Revision: Rev103

Can this card be opned and if so, could you direct me to the information????

Those are the Nagra 2 cards, Yours is a rom 102, Streamlocked at rev 103. Open virgin is rev 007.
We have a new Nagra 2 section just getting started on these, Unfortunatly, So far it's all in Spanish yet.

Yep, Have about 25 Nagra 2's at virgin 007 and a few rev 103 here, Had to streamlock a few to get the newest 301's to update after vid mod, Later found they do not marry yet, So 1 card works to update all the vid modded receivers now. No sense in locking anymore.

I just reset the card and it will tell me what rom it is? I never looked at my yellows. If its rom 103 would you need another card for future testing? Kinda like streamlocked A23.

Yes, Rev 103 is stream updated, Rev 007 is virgin. Sure it is a stream lock like A23 etc.

OK I just opened a box with a new 4900 took the card out and it says
ROM Revision 102
EEPROM Revision Rev 103
From your post above this is streamlocked ? I just took it out of the box how is it streamlocked? I also looked on ebay and everyone has adds for the same cards and say its virgin. So my card is useless? Do I need to try to find others that say Rev007?

All the cards get that far. As far as rev 103 on a new unopened unit I do not know what to tell you, Perhaps they are now updating the new cards to 103 right at the factory now.
Nagra edit does not have the definitions for rom 101 to 103's in it thus the unsupported type message.

Just go snoop around Wallmarts if you have some in your area, They are closing out 301's with cards for about 50 bucks now. Cash and carry. Cool.

Yeh, Have a few funcards myself, You need to use the program "Funprom" with them and a printer port loader. Never seen them work on dishnet yet. Just a cool looking card to add to the collection.

i emailed this guy does not return emais nothing i wasted about 30 usd total on them guess i could put back on ebay also just wondering now i have 1 open yellow then and other 3 is at 103 i realy only wanted 2-3 open yellows wondering if i should try get one more hope these 3 103 wont be a waste

I wouldn't worry about the rev 103's yet, Just hang on to them, Wallymarts are in the states if that helps ..
Some work was being done in the past with a rev 103 unlocker, The people working on it had other stuff out that worked great, Then I think they were busted and kinda dissappeared, But it did show hope. Ironically enough they were all spanish speaking, So some of these spanish Nagra 2 files we see coming out my have some hope. Namely one was the ubomb But don't visit that site anymore, I think it was taken over myself, But could be wrong. The mods all left saying to stay away.

well thats good news ill hang on to what i got realy did not wanna buy anymore yellows just wanted a few in case is all i do have 1 more bid on one is all i did win 2 others but usps lost em in mail that sucks out i think 35 usd i have 3-4 wallmarts near by ill have to look at 301s just wondering if u were in states but i should not of asked sorry i apolgise i bought 4 311s reciently i bought too many realy but price was right just wondering if u would be intrested in any

thought id get rid of two keep 2 there camless ird i saw your post with 721s im running 2 of them i love that ird no headaches at all i used rom 11 and atmega even tred a avr ran good with all no black outs nothing im even using a old file still ran good lol

Don't need any 311's, I had bought a closeout of 3900's at the 100 lot level and they substituted 90 311's, Was I pissed. Been junking a few to learn and the rest are getting swapped for 301's as the dealer does new installs in the area.

Everything is getting harder to get, Dish is no longer going to do retail sales outright. The move is going to them retaining ownership and units being returned upon cancelling service. All the new contracts state " Must be returned with 15 days of cancelling the subscription" in the fine print.

After the 7200's were ecm'd I quite using mine, They were just a pain with the 3 am downloads all the time, Also not showing event ID's for ppv I did not like. They only plus was the no ecm. Value of them now dropped threw the basement.

Reality is more to the tune of risks VS return on time and investments to crack these. Huge fines or Jail really is not appealing to many.

As far as publically seeing it as freeware, We would need to see something to the line of the Nagraedit team release freeware supporting the card parameters for example.
