Problem with my ROM3 card

Guys,

I had pulled out my card for two months from 7200. Finally I was able to lock TSOP on 7200 and then I wanted to watch TV so decided to put card in.

I stated having problems of screen going blank after every 20 seconds on any of the channels excluding 101 or 580. My Receiver software version was already 124.

Based on someone's recommendation I inserted following line just before blackout string area on my NE3 file while reprogramming ROM3.

After that I was able to watch TV fine for another 25 minutes and was so happy but it didn't last long and I got smart card not properly inserted error.

Since then whenever I try to read the card through ISO programmer I get the following.

Opening of COM1 was successful
Reset failed
Error reseting card, ATR string invalid
Closing of COM1 was successful


Don't know what happened and how to get it fixed. I have the full card image saved though.

same problem. sent 7200 ird to be repaired came back. got in hurry put in data stream. knew card needed blackout string. but got in hurry now the card seems looped. hope someone has answer

If you SCNIC message, as well as 00 atr, it's looped. I haven't heard of anyone that repairs stream looped cards yet.What blockers were you using?

I was using horhey blocker...

Don't know if it is public or private. got it from one of my friends and it had been working great so far.

I have another open card on the way though. Which public blocker do you guys suggest which works best?

For dish, GCS works well, and I'm also using WD103 for dish, WB103 for bell rom 10's. For rom3's, I'm using Tenares 383 for both providers.

sounds like your card contacts might be dirty. try using a pencil eraser to clean them off...it sounds silly but just try it...happened to me a week ago.

I think Mili's Blocker works great and would recomend you get blocker from Mili. I have been using it a good wehile and no problems and Mili sends updates VERY QUICKLY.
