my friend wants to know how can you extract the box keys from a 7100 that does not have a card? he is planning on using a magic card with it. he found the unit at an estate sale

I got one for $12 at the goodwill and took the tsop out of it and soldered it into a 2800 that had a jtag and read the flash with jkeys and then opened up the flash with flashedit and got the boxkeys and ird number that way. Harder to do but a lot cheaper if you got an extra 2800 lying around.

Holy Crap!
Then you obviously soldered the tsop back into the 7100 !!
Wow , my soldering skills won't even allow me to put a simple tsop lock on ird without frying it.

You Might Try Using The Search Button And Type In Sombrero.
yep do search i think there hard to find theses days a Sombrero also think they cost around 75 usd
