My bother inlaw (who I like) got hurt at work and will be off for next few months. Anyways I toght I would be nice ad get him more sports channels while he recovers. I did a clean on the Rom 2 then I did rev 2 refresh. I made tiers in TCFD. Went to write it and nothing. I get this error:
Reading card using BackDoor.... attempt 10
Rom 2 Card Detected
Error in RX , Error # - 0,Desc Break condition detected on com port
Could not get backdoor password.....
On overflow:
Error in RX , Error # - 0,Desc Parity error detected on com port
No Card / Unknown ATR....
Reading card using Overflow.... attempt 10
Write to COMM port Failed......
When I use bugbuster I get a valid ATR. I have tried Nagra's bugbuster as well. This is a valid sub card. What makes me mad I have done 4 Rom 2's for myself with no problem. This is a hobby for me and I have never done done one for anybody else. The first time I do thn wham!

If you use nagra for rom2's, use the old Nagra 1. Any other version won't work worth shit. Xcel 3.6 is far better for 2's.

Thanks Noof for the quick reply! I agree Nagra dosen't work well with Rom 2. I have Never got any of the Nagra's to read a Rom2. Anyways I was using Excel 3. when this happened. But, as my wife reminded me where the couch is I got it open In nagra 4's bugbuster. So I hope I can get it going again. Hey did you know your name backwards is Foon?
