rom2 problem

I have 2 rom2 cards. One card works fine with a rom2 image file with the updated P key in a 301-10 ird. with the other rom2 card I have wrote the same image to the card and use the same ird and all of my channels are blank no sound or video, but I do get the free pre view channels. This is weird can some one help me out.

Use excel, Read the working card, Use that file back on the non working one, Select get bd key from card, Write all including otp table and try again. Subbed rom 2's took a emm packet about a week and a half ago with a new mark required.

I did that. I did a one step backup of the working card and then I put a virgin 052 bin on the none working card and then I wrote the working card backup to the non working card and inserted into the IRD. I am only seeing the title and all channels are blank except preview channels. This is weird.but the working card into same ird and its working.

Something is not fully copying over, Recheck boxkeys and cam are the same on the non working one again.

Do the cam id's have to be at E038 EA30 E977,

Read both cards, Zip and post it temp Until I get them, Then delete the attachment from your post. Let me know which is the working one.

Is It Marked At E007 With FF? If It Is, You Will Need A Blocker With The E007 MapFix Or You Will Get Nothing But Music, Previews And Blank Screen w/Channel Headers On The Other Channels. Of Course, I Haven't Seen Any Updated Rom2 Marked Blockers Yet.

OK, After looking at your card files I saw two problems.
First, Use Xcel3.6 for your rom 2's, Nagraedit is very limited to just read/write functions on 2's
Second, The one not working did not have ird or boxkeys on it, Thus making it act like a virgin umarried card, It will not give you the wrong card message in the unmarried state.

Get Xcel, You may need to get Microsoft visual basic files pack to run Xcel, It is a free DL from Microsoft. Once you open Xcel, Pop a card in the loader and select the calibrate function first to get your setups communications with the card timed right. Then all should be good.

Birdie, I have the same problem as the other person with Rom2. I have another Rom2 that is working. Are you saying all i have to do is get the file form that card and write it to the new card and I will be ok? Will that take care of If It's Marked At E007 With FF if you do a write including OTP or will it always be marked?

The Rom 2 died this week sometime (no video, except nag channels, channel guide) at 007 I have 1F. Which means it is not marked?? So what happened this week.
