I've been chasing down info about this stinkin' chip, It's installed in a drd430rga. i need to get a full erase on this bad boy to convert to dish and hopfully later FTA. I have the how to's for the mod, I'm unable to get to the first step... In the nozkt days it wasn't necesary to fully erase the flash, I have that stinkin' 16kb or whatever of boot secter that won't let go. Before the quick answers flow, My box is currently set up as the Nozkt mods were as demonstrated by mr white, 3.3v to enable write, and associated trace is cut. I've booted in link and clicked ok during powerup (3sec). The write byte 90 read byte returns FF, the unlock sequence returns the same... I've applied 12v (13.7v actually) to the 14 pin on the m29 chip (with the associated trace cut, it gets 3.3 otherwise) The later is supposed to be effective. I've read the data sheet without much luck, does anybody have any suggestions?
