However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated with it than Iraq.

And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

There are different versions of the "Bible" or "Koran" or "Talmud"
or "Book of Mormon" (which claims America was a holy land that was 'visited') and each and every one of those, to name just a few is different and they conflict with the others.
I have read many of them, and 'other' accounts of history. And while the correctness of anything from that time when written words were few and hand made 1 letter or 1 picture at a time on easily damaged and /or destroyed are almost non-existant only one thing is, and history up to the present shows the same thing.

Religion kills, maims, and ruins everything it touches, it is said in the very "Bibles" to have caused 'plagues' 'starvation' 'mass deaths of children', floods and famines and plagues, and most of all wars, wars between different villages / cities, between different states, between different countries, between different religions, between different sects of the same religion, between different congreations of the same religon.

This not a opinion, read history, read the bible(s) it is the number 1 killer, number 2 is the lust for power. (this is percentage of population dead, not actual body counts) The bible tops the list at either way of counting at 99.999 % (Noah and his ark)

This is an assnine thing to say or think....maybe I misunderstood you. John Lennon did not deserve to die. The strung out religous zealot that shot him on the other hand is living for free on taxpayer dollars; we can live without his wonderfull contribution to society. I also am a strong 2nd amendment guy. I have a concealed weapons permit and more than my fair share of firearms. I'm fortunate enough to live in a part of the world where I can hunt big game off my back porch and I often take advantage of the oppertunity. This doesn't mean I think we need assult rifles or anything like that. I got fed up with the NRA asking me for money 3 times a week, so I am no longer, or ever will be again, a member of the NRA. I liked it but I see why it gets under peoples skin its because the muslim belief is that they believe in Alah the father but not his son Jesus and according to the king James version bible the only way to the father is through the son also the muslim belief is that you can have as many wifes as you want but our belief is that you can have only one even though you can get as many divorce,s and remarry as many times as you want to which is not right but hey its america land of the free and little pink houses for you and me its what I call that fucking bullshit but hell one american woman is enough for me.
