7200 question

Hi all I was wondering if someone might be able to tell me what files I would need to set up my 7200 with a Rom 3 Card.

I want to use a 3m what is the best one then blocker what one
and finally something about a 9 day guide and string for recording.

I am just lost at all of the reading. I tried a 7100 patch for the guide and recording but when I tried to apply it said that there were errors so I did not dare to apply it.

File is dishplayer7100patch.ep3 this is for a rom 3 card right?
Any help or hand holding is needed Thanks all

Just got done reading about your success with Penga's T911 mod. I sold my T911, but I'm gonna get it back now. Glad to hear it works.

Yea it works Great. The Question I was having on that patch is this when I try and apply it it tells me there is errors on it Unknown card type ect...
Is this Normal?

Read your card first, then test the patch. You won't get the invalid rom type error then.

Is DIsh still supporting these 7x00 units with software upgrades?
I have one that has an older software revision (whats current for a 7200?)

its been out of the stream for over a year though

if I added a lock and dialed a card in can I get this up and running?

To be honest I tossed all mine on the junk pile after the July 22 ecm in favor of 501/508's now.

I can say they did take a update in early July that was cool, It made all the PVR functions work on the non pvr remote using the up down left right ok buttons.

You don't want it ecm'd without getting the lock setup, Problem is with a lock, No update either. I'd think just adding the basic channels until it updates, If it does, Then lock it and add more.

I think these units are still great receivers. Not as nice as the 501's, but still pretty nice. Newest firmware is P1.24. If your receiver has never been ECM'd, then it will update just fine. I have two of these that I JYF'd and they both updated to P1.23 then later to P1.24 in the stream even though that wasn't supposed to be possible.
