I have a dish 4000 I would like to convert to Bell. I have an F040 which will read and write the u19 f/w to the tsop but will not touch u26. I have tried the jyf posted at http://www.dssftp.com/forum/upload/showthread.php?t=5804&highlight=4000 but cannot get it to work. The led never gives the flashes suggested. Do I have to have pan pointed at 119 first?. Is there something in the u19 flash that I can edit to force it to convert???
Thanks

If U26 is the 29F010 chip, you can do what I'm going to do. Buy a 'Willem' programmer for $55 US plus shipping (mine is on the way), remove that chip. Program a new one with 'Willem' plug it in. Your F040 will take care of the 29F040B.

Thanks for the reply. I was finally able to get it to update to Bell software. Now that is done and I can access the menu I find it has no signal strength. I have done a check switch and I have hooked another receiver up to this feed and it's showing 89% signal strenght so I am now trying to figure that out. The feed connector on these 4000's is very hard to work on (not alot of room). If anyone has any suggestions please send me a note.
Thanks
