Did I kill my 301?

I hooked up my vidmod everything checked to be correct. Grounded to R79 to put it to sleep, start jkeys, backed up my tsop, then done a full erase. Yeah I know, but anyway I tried to reload the flash. Hit program it says "Program at address 0x7FC00000, size 0x400000?". Pressed yes takes me to where I saved my tsop I click on it and it begins programming. Programs all the way to 99% then I get "Error programming flash at offset 0x7fffff40". Click ok my address is 0x7FC00000 and data is 0103. IRD R -0 0000 00001-96 Boxkeys FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF. Is this fixable or did i just turn my 301 into a paperweight?

Then the vid mod is not correct, the whole purpose of the mod, to allow writing to the last sector of the flash, you can't, so the vid mod ain't doing what it's supposed to.

Thanks for the help turned out my DPDT switch was actually bass ackards to the diagram had to turn it off to program the flash up and running now combo of gunthers guide and 301013guide by JorgeAcc. Thanks for all the help!!

Same thing happened to me. Flipped the switch to turn on the vidmod and nothing. Switched it the other way and viola, changed my d500 to 0000, just like that.

yeah I'm not sure but I think the other switch must have been backwards or something hehe but being a newbie I think I'll make a guide on how to do it for people like me and maybe it'll correct some problems of being out of date too
