Hey guys,
I just installed my pansat 2500a receiver, everything but the program guide is working fine. I loaded the channel list but I dont have any programing available. I hate not knowing when the shows are going to be playing!! Could someone help me get this problem solved? What do I have to do in order to get the program guide up and running? or is there something i'm doing wrong?
Tank you!

Thanks guys,
Wow, that sucks!!! Do any other FTA receivers have EPG available? and thanks for that link azdssnoob.
I use a Universal Guide Remote from Radio Shack to find out what's playing on the channels, with this remote you can download the channels you want right on to the remote that has a screen display with a usb cable. I have an extra one if anyone is interested.

How much are you selling the remote for? and could you send me a link to where I can see the specs and guide of the remote.
Thanks

I just posted this on another thread, looks appropriate for this one too.
The Pansat 2500A does in fact have a 7 day EPG (Electronic Program Guiide) . It's right on the Remote Control...the button marked "EPG". EPG's only work if the satellite you are looking at provides one. The receiver just decodes and displays it. If you think you are going to get this on DN sats, it won't happen. You can either go to the TV Guide channel (www.tvguide.com/listings) and get it, or you can set up a seperate DN receiver but you need a DN card to get the guide. The card does not have to be subbed.

Is there a way to upload the channel guide to the receiver (pansat2500a)? I wouldnt even mind if I had to do it once a weeks.
Thanks.

That's right, there is no built-in guide for D*Net on ANY Fta receiver, repeat...ANY FTA receiver, not just the Pansat 2500A.
This is not a real problem if you have internet access and can go to www.tvguide.com. There you can set up your personal needs for what guide you want.

Borders sells a DN guide [like tv guide] that is good for a month. As of today they did not have the Oct issue in stock yet where I live.

Had not heard of that one before. A month at a time would be great. I wonder if you can order this over the internet. Think I'll check out Borders web site.
