How do you get the boxkeys from a JVC 4500 receiver?Thanks.

Pretty much need the married card from it to read the boxkeys. No jtag port.

I personally take the screws out of the cover for extras when I lose screws for irds and keep the card, Rest goes as landfill here. I had many weeks with a 2 yard dumpster full of 3000/4000/4500's.

Save the remote, They are usually UHF and work on a few newer models though.

greypower: you beat me to it! LMAO. Now that I have the F040 and the "willem" I'm not afraid of these boxes anymore. At least not the 1000 or 3000. I'll let you know later about the 4000, LOL.

I can't believe people actually junk grey boxes simply because they aren't JTAGgable. I guess one man's junk is another man's treasure!

Without these special programmers and without boxkeys, I'd still get rid of mine, but I wouldn't THROW them out. I'd sell them. When i bought them I didn't know a grey box IRD from a zebra, LOL.
