Thanks to all the mods and peeps who helped make my first Dish test a SUCCESS!!!
From a newbie, who accidentally picked a 301-013 to start his first D/N testing IRD to someone that actually has a pretty good grip on things that D/N does now. Made myself a homemade jtag, built Gunther's vid mod (never soldered before in my life), saved tsop and eeprom, changed code to accept other cards and testing devices and erased SA49. Ordered and received my MC today and set it up with the new 3rd party software. It actually was so easy and quick with Waffer's program that I thought I was missing something. :) Got the channels and am now looking to do it all over again.
I'm sure I'll have more questions as they arise, including how to create tiers etc, but for now, I'll take what I've got and run with it.
A little advice for all those new to testing Dish..........read, read, read. I read for about 4 weeks straight and absorbed everything I could. I found it much easier this way and if I had to ask a question, I could understand the response in technical terms.
Thanks again!
