HI! yes it`s the new fix for sept 30,I got it from the real Al 7bar site checked to see if mods there oked it before I got it.
It was nice the fix came out faster this time...good luck

fortec lifetime ultra with x8500 ver 6 ,what kind of fix do i need,can i use pansat fix ?or ultra

Fortec makes the Lifetime and Lifetime Ultra (Ultra)

Pansat is differ creature than Fortec Irds-Pansat 1500A, 2300A and 2500A. 1500A and 2500A use bin files designated with term X-8500 and the 2300A use bin files designated by term X-7500.

v2.41 is a lifetime bin file and v2.47 is a Ultra bin file

This is the same file posted by xwolfs7 above for the ultra. This is a temp fix by manual change in the parity keys for the 9/30/04 ECM. I say temp because it does not fix autoroll and when the key changes it will go out again.

Hi! Which tool uploader you using I use the Al7bar tool uploader myself never have a problem as long as you have the setting right like flash rom file.
give that loader a try..good luck..

i used fortecstar stb updater 3.21 and set to flas rom file are tese two d- same

Hi! The Al7bar tool uploader it does`nt ask for model type just select your file set to flash rom press download and wait until it`s complete.
That`s the only one I use never had a problem on my fortec or pansat 2500a using this tool loader.

As long as you have your settings right it should work fine just don`t set flash rom file for boot file or the other way around or you could end off with the night rider lights...good luck that Al7bar tool loader is here on this site in FTA section..

I uploaded the program I'm getting strong signal on all channel and everything but it saying bad channel and sramble no picture. Is there a specific step I have to do. Do I have to upload two of these files or just one. I have the Fortec Ultra.

Hi! You only need the one labelled Ultra if your using Ultra.after you do your flash check if keys were turned on as well..
the bottom one you show here is for Fortec lifetime.

Hi! first go to Fortec and get the lifetime bin file then flash it then use the ones below;
load boot 60_040515 (set to boot)
then use Al7bar FTA_040920_241_api(NTSC_pko_rev1)-f set to( flash rom file)

I only did one. But still it's not getting any picture. This is what I did.

1. I turn off box with clock on.
2. Plug in Serial
3. Using COM1 with Updater software the Al7bar20FTA20Ultra_040920_247_apiNTSC[2].
4. Check it as flash file option bin update.
5. Update complete box automatically reboot itself.
6. I use gtool to update my channel listing.
7. Everything show green high level and quality but no picture.
8. FTA channels on echo 7 seems to work fine with mtv2. But other then 100 International channel no local no thing. Can't even get CNBC or CNN or Bloomberge.
9. All I get on these station are bad channel scramble. Nagravision encoding.

Did I miss a step somewhere? .....
Are there more files that I need to download.
Do I need to change the boot file. Because right now it's Version 6.0.

key function ? where is it under. I don't see anything about key function. Also I don't see the boot file you mention on fortecstar.com is it under the the lifetime or lifetime ultra.

are you sure you are using a straight through serial instead of a modem serial cable???? also you can try other com ports, you may be on the wrong one
