 I have a Pansat Satellite Receiver 1500A (similar, or the same as the Pansat 2300A)- which in the past, has been working with NO problems with ANY Pansat 2300A Bin/Fix. Now when I try to reload the latest fix: Blacklist_PK0_09-30-04_X-7500_040916_230_api-F/along with the “Blacklist 1.3 Downloader......it will not accept it (so-to-speak), it loads the file......but all I get is the “night rider lights”. I have even tried re-loading the original manufacture bin several times, still NO success - I still get the “night rider lights”. Is there a special file....such as a “boot file” I need - to properly kick this Receiver into action, if yes - please provide the file link - and step-by-step downloading instructions.

P.S. I notice a new file within the "DSS Mili" download section - it's an Universal Pansat Bin - one bin takes care of Pansat Models 1500A, 2300A and 2500A. The file name is: 09-30-04_x-8500_040916_235_api-f.bin - has anyone tried this on the Pansat 1500A, and does it work well with gTools Channel Editor???? :)

By name alone of the file you should realize this is a bin file for the 2500A as designated by the term X-8500. The file is a blacklist v2.35 released Sept 16 04.

You may want to try the X-8500 v2.36 bin which contains the fix for autoroll of the parity keys which the 9/30/04 pko fix is only a temp fix by manual correction in the bin file. This is the only unit (2500A) that has the auto roll fix which the 9/30/04 ecm hit on the fta irds. :) hound

Did this file fix your problem with your 1500A? This is a blacklist X-8500 v2.33 released aug 24, 04 for the 2500A and was zapped by the 9/30/04 ECM unless this file was modified with the 9/30/04 pko update which is a temp fix. I do know the 2300 when flashed incorrect can be brought back by flashing an older bin that will load even though the factory bin will not just to get the unit back prior to installing the latest bin. If this file worked for you, you may want to go ahead and flash the X-8500 v2.36 which contains the auroroll fix for parity keys. The pansat 2500A (which would also include the 1500A) is the only fta receiver to have had this fix made yet. :) hound
