5900 questions?

Bought a FS 5900, got a jtag reader for the 5900 from mili, a fta mc, and programmer. Download the how to jtag a 5900 from bellexpress.vu. Problem:
tried to get boxkeys and received 0x00000000. I have tried on 2 different pc's 1 running win 98, and 1 running win2003 server. Have checked printer port and tried it in bi directional mode and ECP. Have used a cable and also tried it by plugging jtag directly into pc. Have made sure that jkeys port is set to parallel in software and at 0378 which is what my bios has it set at. Both pc's return same 0x00000000. Anybody got any idea's?

you also have to have the 5900 pluged in but not turned on.. i did that too

I have tried it with the unit plugged in on and off still same response

Ok I just reformated a cpu at 700mhz and win 98 as os, checked for printer port it is at 0378. Using jkeys 2.9.11. plugged straight into back of PC with jtag purchased from mili for 5900. Plugged in fs5900 but did not turn on. Still getting 0x00000000. This is the third pc I have tried this on. What can I try next? Anybody?

upgraded os to win xp. Checked the printer port again it is still at 0378. Checked software it is also at 0378. Parrallel port is ECP. Unit is plugged in. Ribbon cable is postioned like picture in How to. Still 0x00000000. I'm still trying. Any suggestions. Can someone that has gotten the boxkeys from a 5900 tell me what their settings are?

Did you Buy the JTAG reader or did you make it?

Pin out the cable with a meter and compare to the pic from this link http://www.dssftp.com/filedownload/generate_php/free_to_air__receiver_files.php (pinning for 15 & 19 might be swapped) make sure you have no breaks in the wiring. 5 leads will have @ 100 omhs.
