how to patch new update ppv string to dish 383,bin

Tried with nagra,,, but can make to work

IM using some of the ones are on the site
my problem is when i patch the new ppv patch and go to save
then when I put it in the cemu flpoppy it wont work
<is anotrher way to save it so wont change the original bin

This is how I make my dish383.bin and it works great. It seems like alot, but after a few times it's easy. Make sure you use the latest Tier lists for MiniRTM.

How To Create The .ne3 file Using MiniRTMV2.5
Open MiniRTMV2.5
You need the latest tier list - in the same folder as MiniRTMV2.5
Choose Provider and Rom Type
Select the channels you want(make sure you select the Top AT60,AT180 & AT120)
Notice The Tiers Counter
Click - Add PPV
Click - Create Random(a bunch of times)
Under Decimal - Change the Lowest PPV ID and the Highest PPV ID
Click - Use This(bottom of screen)
Click - Create NE3 Patch
Name and Save someplace recognizable

How To Find PPV Hi’s and Low’s
Tune to a PPV channel with your receiver
On the remote hit the INFO button(not SYS INFO)
Each PPV has a 5 digit code number in prentices(55744)
Copy them and notice the Highest and Lowest.
You then round down the Lowest - If it’s 55744 round down to 55700
To get the Highest add 18000 to the Lowest ----55700 + 18000 = 73700
Some Say The Spread Should Be Less Than 2000, But I Have Been
Using A Spread Of 18000 And Have Been For A long Time.(It’s Up To You)

How To Patch To A Bin Using NagraEdit
1) Have the dish383.bin located so you can open it with NagraEdit.
2) Open NagraEdit - Click file - Open Card Image
3) Open dish383.bin - A window comes up -Card Image Type(Leave At Default)
4) Click OK
5) File Opened : dish383.bin
6) Click Tools - Open Card(remove the checkmark in front of Clean Code Space)
7) Click OK -card image cleaned successfully
8) Click Patch - Open Patch, locate your .ne3 file and Open
9) Test Patch - Bottom of screen you should see no errors detected
10) Run Patch - Patch applied with 0 errors
11) Click File - Save Card Image(name & save)
12) That Is You dish383.bin - You need to rename it by removing the .bn3
13) To rename it just right click the file and remove the .bn3(dish383.bin is what you should see until you finish)click on an open area of the page and the file name should be dish383. The .bin is hidden.
This Bin can be used it Cemu or Yvous if the INI file is directed to it.

I don't delete my old bin, because when you add the new bin you will be ask to overwrite the old bin(if you named it correctly)
That way you know for sure it's named right.

I change the update PPv in The Dish383.bin did everything OK
put it in my floppy disk delete the old one .
rename it but it says dish383.bin not found what did I do wrong...........

Check to make sure you renamed the file correctly, that most likely is your problem now.

You are probably adding an extra .bin. It should look like this dish383 - You should not see the .bin when it's named right.

I did wath you said but when i look in the floppy I see two bin file one is the original the other is the one I created wich is says Dish 383.bin
where and when do I rename it

Then you will be ask to overwrite(choose yes)

OK Wath I do once I save it in the floppy
It says Dish 383.bin write click to take .bin off but it wont let me doit it erases the all think
Now do I try to doit before I save in the floppy or there is another way

In Dos you can not have two files with the same name. Type dir hit the return key and write down what the complete name of the two Dish383 files are. Then we can tell you what to do next.

I just create a folder for my clean dish383.bin to keep it seperate.

Thats a good way to do it Bear, however if you look up about 8 posts from this, you can see that he had two dish383 files, the old one and the new one. He needs to delete one and rename the other. Until we know what the complete files names are there is no way to tell what to do to get it working. If he had followed B. B's posts, Ciccoi would not have this problem anyway, but all are not that good with Dos and their commands, it is a dying art.

If you will do like I said in the post up from here, we can help you, otherwise, you may never get it. Just do it and write down the name of the two dish383 file., and let us know what they are.

First, open the folder where your modified files are. At the top of the page you see "view", click that and choose "details". Now go to the "tools" two spots over to the right. Choose "folder options" Goto the "view" tab, check "show hidden files and folders". Uncheck "hide extensions for known file types"

Now you will be able to see EXACTLY what is saved.

If you use quotation marks on a file name, it will save as typed instead of adding an extension...example "rom3.bin" will always save as that and not rom3.bin.txt

If only you did what has already been posted to help you, it would be working now. Read the posts from all that tried to help again, follow those directions and you will be watching TV.
