My receiver is out, does't want to power on after 3 hours following a Flash change.
I have a BEV 4700 receiver with using a Magic Card. I made a copy of my Flash memory and downloaded a new flash memory from the internet with the exact same code ( 4700-10H-E360-14AB-CCHA.bin ). I proceeded to program with Jkeys but could not go to the program screen Jkeys indicating that the Flash code returned were not recognized by Jkeys FA25/2532 (JEDEC) and (Flash file). I found a thread indicating that I could change the Jkeys def file changing 0x2223 to 0x2532. I did this and it worked. I made a copy of my old flash, erased it from the receiver and copied the new one downloaded from the internet. I placed my unit in the stream without success, since then my receiver will not power up. I recopied my old flash and noticed that my IRD and Box keys were not recognized. I tried to erase sector SA30 on Flash 1 but Jkeys will not show any sector after SA10. I am a newbie out of solutions that I beleive went a little too far trying is new Jtag. Anybody can suggest a cure.
Thank you

You saved the original Flash right? Just completely erase the TSOP and load the image back on.

I did erased the TSOP completely and load my old image back but the receiver will not power on. I also tried with the card in slot MC and ex-sub without success.

Finally repaired my receiver, Change TSOP to CCHA e-480 TSOP bin and I used the FlashEdit 2.0a.1 to add by IRD and boxkeys. I then used the same software to virginize my EEPROM and saved an image. Opened Jkeys (had to change de def file from 0x22C4 to 0x2532 in order to erase the TSOP) and erase the e-360 TSOP replace by the new e480. Replace the def file to 0x2532 and write the virgin EEPROM IMAGE. The receiver immediately power up and the software is working much better. Cleared the problem of receiver shutting up by itself and program download problems. This is fun if you do it right.
Thanks

Finally repaired my receiver, Change TSOP to CCHA
Thanks

Now don't forget to J-Tag the IRD and save a couple of copies of the new flash (in different places) in case you have trouble again.
