To TSOP Lock or Not to TSOP lock

Do you need to lock the tsop when you emu?
How about when you run a majic card do you need to lock the Tsop then.

You never need a lock, just keeps you from having to jtag in the event of an ecm. Some people swear by them, some think it's a waste of time, I'm in the middle. They are also not for the novice when it comes to soldering, but not that bad either.

I have been up for over 2 yrs without a tsop lock. Had to jtag a few times, but have seen more people with locks become ECM targets. Locks are just another target for chuck to aim at. If you lock it, chuck will find a way to detect it and start nagging you. JMO.
